In every sport, you have that one special athlete who is simply a gift.

For NBA fans, the gift that continually keeps getting re-gifted is Lakers guard Nick "Swaggy P" Young. Whether he is on the court or off it, Swaggy is always good for entertainment.

So it made for great TV when Young again graced us with his charm Thursday evening after performing on Lip Sync Battle with his fiancé, Iggy Azalea.

Not everybody can pull it off though.

Considering his partner is a Grammy-winning artist, you can only assume Swaggy came to the table with some performance tips, but after watching this effort, we're no longer sure.

In the end, Swaggy lost. To add insult to injury, Iggy also burned Young earlier in the show with a good joke about flopping.

But seriously: How cute are they?!

Just two days after Young told  that "of course" a wedding was in the future, but refused to divulge any details, he proposed to Azalea at his 30th birthday party with a huge yellow diamond.

Now that Iggy Azalea and L.A. Lakers player Nick Young are engaged, let's take a look back at their 21-month romance, from the Tweet that started it all to the massive rock Iggy's sporting these days.

February 2015
Chivalry isn't dead after all! Earlier this year, Young told ESPN about almost being killed by a dolphin while trying to defend his lady's honor during a recent vacation to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

"It was my time to ride the dolphin. For some reason, he took me all the way to the bottom. He was trying to drown me," Young said. "I think he was trying to get on Iggy. He was a little friendly, kidding her and stuff. He was trying to take my woman."

March 2014
After six months of cuddly Instagram photos, the couple stepped their photo game up a notch by appearing in an intimate GQ spread together, in which the magazine called them "the coolest, freakiest young couple in the NBA."

Young is already father to 3-year-old Nick Jr. (a.k.a. "Lil Swaggy") with ex-girlfriend Keonna Green, but he and the "Fancy" singer decided to put their collective parenting skills to the test by adopting a puppy (and giving her a confusingly long name).

October 2014
Azalea signed with Wilhelmina models in 2012 and landed her first national campaign, a Forever 21 holiday shoot alongside Young, in October 2014.

"It was real cool. We had great chemistry," Young said of the shoot, but denied that it was a challenge: "I'm Swaggy! It comes natural!"

As she is wont to do, Azalea told a different story than her hoops dude.

"As the hours rolled by I think Nick started to realize photoshoots are hard work too," she told PEOPLE. "It was funny watching him have that revelation!"

Young opened up to DuJour magazine about life with Azalea, who he said is "a really cool, down-to-earth person."

"Growing up, I always wanted to be married and have a family, and it's difficult … it's a process," he said. "Me and Iggy just bought a house. We've been getting really close lately. I've never been with somebody like this. So I'm taking it as a challenge."

He also admitted that the topic of marriage had "come up a couple times." As for the house, Variety reported that the couple had actually purchased the six-bedroom Tarzana, California, home from Selena Gomez.

Polarizing hip-hop star Iggy Azalea has quit Twitter, at least temporarily, following nasty social media commentary on her physical appearance in a bikini in several paparazzi photos surreptitiously taken of her while she was vacationing in Hawaii with her boyfriend, Los Angeles Laker Nick Young.

The 24-year-old hitmaker unleashed a series of tweets expressing her exasperation at the body-shaming she endured.

“Just got back from a great vacation, came online and saw apparently it’s shocking and unheard of to be a woman and have cellulite. Lol,” Azalea wrote. “I just want to have peace and relaxation time without a perve [sic] with long distance lense [sic] hiding out taking pictures, everyone deserves peace.”

Citing the “hatred and pettiness” of some members of the online community, Azalea said she was taking a break from social media and that her staff would manage her accounts from now on.

After a sign-off thank you to fans, Azalea tweeted, “The Internet is the ugliest reflection of man kind there is.”

This far from the first public squabble the “Fancy” rapper has been drawn into with her detractors. She has had major spats with fellow rappers like Snoop Dogg – who in a series of tweets last fall compared the Australian-born rapper to the whiteface characters played by Marlon and Shawn Wayans in the 2004 big screen comedy “White Chicks” – and Nicki Minaj, a rival and contemporary, was widely believed to be calling out Azalea’s lack of authenticity during a 2014 BET Awards speech.


And Azalea got into a high profile social media battle with black rapper Azealia Banks over the white rapper’s lack of response to protests in the wake of police-related deaths of Eric Garner and Michael Brown, both of whom are African-American.

Banks accused Azalea of co-opting black culture without appreciating it, a frequent criticism levied against the T.I. protege.

“Its funny to see people Like Igloo Australia silent when these things happen … Black Culture is cool, but black issues sure aren’t huh?” tweeted Banks. The derogatory nickname “Igloo Australia” soon became a trending topic.

There was also widespread criticism in the hip-hop community when Azalea was nominated for the prestigious Best Rap Album award at this year’s Grammys for her album “The New Classic” alongside more traditional rap artists.

Ironically, she wound up losing the award to another controversial white rapper, Eminem.
