Demi Moore's pool : Man found
A man was found dead Sunday morning in a pool at Demi Moore's Beverly Hills home, the Los Angeles Police Department's West Los Angeles Division said.

A call came in shortly before 5:30 a.m. (8:30 a.m. ET) to report a 21-year-old man dead in the pool, Officer Matthew Jones said.

"Demi Moore was not at the home at the time, and neither were her close family members," Jones said.

Police questioned five people in the home.

"There was in fact a party going on at the time. Who threw the party, we do not know at this time," Jones said.

The man has been identified, but police are not releasing his name, Jones said.
While police continue to investigate, his death has been ruled an accident.

X-Men: Apocalypse So Good

X-Men: Apocalypse So Good
X-Men: Apocalypse So Good
The end is pretty much always nigh in the X-Men universe, but next year our superheroes will truly face the Apocalypse — that is, a 5,000-year-old mutant who goes by the name Apocalypse, played by Oscar Isaac.

Today we finally get a peek at this fearsome villain, plus Psylocke (Olivia Munn), Magneto (Michael Fassbender), and many more. Get your X-Men Apocalypse first look after the jump.

Update: Even more images have been revealed, this time of the “new” characters including Cyclops and Jean Grey. See them all after the jump!

Isaac is nearly unrecognizable as the blue-skinned Apocalypse, but we’ve got high hopes his charisma will shine through all the same. Fassbender’s Magneto has a snazzy new costume (compare it to the relatively streamlined one he wore in X-Men: Days of Future Past) and a grumpy expression.

On the flip side, Psylocke’s uniform might seem familiar even though she’s new to this universe. It’s basically just a movie-fied version of her look in the comics.

X-Men: Apocalypse is intended to both close out the current chapter of the franchise, and open a new one. To that end, it’ll feature a bunch familiar characters, as well as new versions of familiar characters including Jean Grey (Sophie Turner), Cyclops (Tye Sheridan), and Nightcrawler (Kodi Smit-McPhee).

The story picks up about ten years after the events of X-Men: Days of Future Past (the events in the past parts of the movie, that is, not the future parts). Apocalypse — “believed to be the first mutant,” Isaac explains — emerges from his Egyptian tomb and determines that the world would be a lot better off if he were in charge.

To aid in that quest, Apocalypse recruits special help including Magneto, who’s peacefully living out his days in Poland. “He’s fallen in love and he’s basically left his metal ways behind,” says Fassbender.

But when things go awry, “Apocalypse finds Erik at a low ebb and recruits him.” Magneto becomes one of four Horsemen, the others being Psylocke, Storm (Alexandra Shipp), and Angel (Ben Hardy).

As Apocalypse ramps up his efforts to take over, the other mutants including Raven (Jennifer Lawrence), who’s been off saving other mutants, and Charles (James McAvoy), who’s been teaching young mutants to control their powers, must band together to fend off this potentially world-destroying threat.

For a rundown of what we saw from X-Men: Apocalypse at Comic-Con, click here. The film opens May 27, 2016 and also stars Nicholas Hoult, Lucas Till, Rose Byrne, Evan Peters, and Lana Condor. Bryan Singer returns to direct.

19 Kids and Counting Be Canceled

19 Kids and Counting Be Canceled
19 Kids and Counting Be Canceled

LC has canceled its long-running reality show “19 Kids and Counting” almost two months after revelations that Josh Duggar molested his sisters and other girls as they slept.

The series “will no longer appear on the air,” the network told the Associated Press on Thursday. TLC said it has joined with two prominent child-protection organizations to raise awareness about child sexual abuse with an hour-long documentary that will air next month.

The show centered around the Duggar family, who adhere to a patriarchal Christian movement called Quiverfull, and was on the air for 10 seasons.

TLC pulled “19 Kids and Counting” off the air in May after Josh Duggar’s molestation scandal made national headlines, but the show sat in limbo and was not officially canceled until this week.

Jim Bob Duggar, a former Republican state lawmaker, said he disciplined his son, who was 14 years old at the time, and took him a year later with church elders to meet with a state trooper and family friend, Jim Hutchens — who gave the teen a “very stern talk” but did not take any official action.

The case was investigated in 2006 after producers for Oprah Winfrey’s show received an email tip about the abuse before the family was set to appear, and they canceled the appearance and contacted authorities.

An investigation found multiple victims, including some who lived in the Duggar home, claimed Josh Duggar had molested them — but police said the statute of limitations had run out and Josh Duggar was never prosecuted.

The 27-year-old Duggar resigned from his position with the anti-LGBT Family Research Council after admitting to “inexcusable” actions.

A judge with ties to Duggar family friend Mike Huckabee, the GOP presidential candidate and former Arkansas governor, ordered the police report destroyed after it was released to comply with a Freedom of Information Act request.

“19 Kids and Counting” began in September 2008, and the family has leveraged their fame to speak out against LGBT and abortion rights.

It’s not clear whether TLC knew of the allegations against the Duggars until they were published by In Touch Weekly, but rumors of the sex abuse have circulated online for years.

“Mama June” Shannon, who appeared in the cable network’s “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo,” said she was considering a lawsuit against TLC – which promptly canceled her popular show in October after she began dating an accused molester.

Two other TLC reality shows — “Cheer Perfection” and “Sons of Guns” — were abruptly canceled over sex abuse allegations against cast members.

Another show, “Cake Boss,” was renewed in January despite sex assault charges against a former cast member.

The 36-year-old actress took part in a "ride-along", as research for her role of Ani in the TV series, and has revealed she learnt that  "everybody is lying".

Rachel McAdams shadowed police for her role in 'True Detective'.

Rachel said: "I did a ride-along with police and I learned that everybody is lying to everybody else. I get it now when police officers are cynical, because criminals are always trying to pull one over on them."

Rachel insisted she loved working on 'True Detective', because of her character, as well as her co-star Colin Farrell, who she said is a  "delight".

Speaking to Stylist magazine, she said: "I felt connected to Ani on a gut level. I understood her as soon as I read her.

"Working with Colin was a delight. He would come to my trailer for a chat and a cup of tea every day. We got really into chocolate coconut chips."

Another famous actor who Rachel is excited about working with is 34-year-old Jake Gyllenhaal, in her upcoming film 'Southpaw', in which

she stars as Maureen, the wife of a boxer who's rebuilding his life.

She said: "Jake and I have been trying to work together for years and this came up and he was so passionate about it and Maureen is a totally different character to anything I've done before ".

"I'm actually a bit older than Jake. It still happens a lot. I think it's fulfilling some sort of male fantasy, but we're slowly getting past that."

The actress also revealed to USA Today that she had "practiced" her boxing skills on the set of 'Southpaw' to star as the wife of boxer Billy "The Great" Hope, in the movie..

She shared to USA Today: "I figured Maureen would understand boxing really well. She’d make it her business to know it. Jake [Gyllenhaal] came and watched me box in the ring.

"I practiced. I wasn’t fighting. I definitely wasn’t fighting. I just tried to pick it up. Nowhere near the extent that Jake did. It was an excuse to sweat and get in shape. It’s a total head to toe workout. You do one three-minute round and you’re toast."

And her co-star Jake, 34, has admitted he was terrified about looking like an "idiot" in the movie but says the fear motivated him.

He said: "I spent five months training for the movie and I trained twice a day. I figured I'd make five months into 10 months if I did that.

"And I was just basically scared that I'd look like an idiot, so I worked as hard as I could. Fear is sometimes a good motivating thing."

Derek Jeter : ESPYS' Icon Award

Derek Jeter : ESPYS' Icon Award
Derek Jeter : ESPYS' Icon Award

Actor Ben Affleck presented the retired Yankees legend and future Hall of Famer with the ESPYS' Icon Award Wednesday night.

Jeter retired last season after spending 20 years as the jewel of the Yankees, winning five World Series titles. He's still arguably New York City's most popular athlete, and baseball's most recognizable face.

Here's what Affleck said before welcoming Jeter on stage:
"There was something about him that made the boos ring a little hollow. Maybe it was imitable class. Maybe it was that he won with dignity and lost with grace. Maybe it was that we knew no matter what, he was a winner regardless. Boston sports fans can be many things, but we know baseball, and we respect those who play the game the way it was meant to be played.

"He broke my heart 100 times if not more. And he broke it agains when he retired because he was absolutely one of the very best to play the game of baseball. So you you, Derek Jeter, I tip my hat and I thank you for every moment of his incredible career."

And Jeter had a little fun with Affleck after accepting the award:
"I know it pained him to say every one of those words. So thank you very much. I've had a special relationship with my fans and my teammates over the last 20 years. But in retirement, I've come to realize that being part of the larger community of sports is a gift and, more importantly, it's an honor.

"When you're playing, you have fans and you have teammates who root for you. You have your opponents and your rivals, they motivate you. But for me it was always the fellow athletes from all different sports that inspired me. So I just want to take this moment to thank everyone here and congratulate all the athletes, the winners ,the nominees, because you all deserve it. You've inspired me for years. You continue to inspire me."

The 40-year-old has released a statement apologising to her fans, saying that her 'past legal situation' is preventing her from coming to England.
It is believed the situation the former Fugees singer is referring to is her conviction for tax evasion in 2013.

Lauryn, who was due to play at the O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire on Wednesday, wrote on her Facebook page: 'I've been informed that I won't be able to enter the UK for a period of time due to my past legal situation.
'For this reason I have to cancel my concert on July 15th.

Know that I was looking forward to performing in London this summer, and that I appreciate all of my fans and supporters both in London, and throughout the UK.

Her fans were understandably upset to hear of the cancellation, with one writing: "Bulls***... they can't hold a queen down!'
Another added: 'No to Lauryn Hill - but Kanye West can come and pollute our ear drums as and when he chooses to.'

The former Fugees singer was sentenced to three months in prison for tax evasion after failing to file federal tax returns for her earnings between 2005 and 2007, some $1.8million.
After pleading guilty, she served three months at a prison in Danbury, Connecticut.

Despite now allegedly being barred from entering the UK, she played five gigs in London as recent as September.

The first of the concerts was slammed by many fans and had concertgoers walk out of Brixton Academy in south London.

The singer turned up 90 minutes late after which she performed heavily remixed versions of her hits and suffered technical issues.
