Greg Plitt dead: Fitness guru posted haunting Instagram video asking fans "Will you be remembered?"

A British fan has posted a touching tribute video online in memory of his hero Greg Plitt, who was killed by a train on Saturday.

Fitness instructor, actor and former Calvin Klein model Plitt was struck and killed by a Metrolink train in LA.

One friend says he was filming an advert for a protein shake at the time.

Speaking directly to camera, Ben Alderton - a fitness model who has his own YouTube channel - said: "[Greg] was an absolute idol to many of us.

"He lived every day as if it was his last. We've all seen the videos of him doing the crazy stuff that he does. Just so motivational."

He said that in a way, Greg Plitt was already "living the legacy that he now going to leave."

"Anyone who watched his videos would just be so intrigued by his aura," he said. "It's a huge loss to the fitness industry."

Harking back to the motivational speeches Greg Plitt was famous for, Ben said: "Live every day as if it was your last, because it could be."

Plitt was a renowned fitness instructor who had recently appeared in a reality show on Bravo called "Work Out", and is due to feature in a new reality series called "Friends to Lovers" later this month.

He had also acted in a number of Hollywood films, with roles alongside Robert DeNiro and Matt Damon in The Good Shepherd, and he was cast in Terminator 4 alongside Christian Bale.

He was also a body double in superhero movie Watchmen.

A Metrolink passenger, Victor Crowell, told news station KABC: "He had on all black. The train went by. I saw him stumble over the tracks. He had a camcorder in his hand."

Police said he was with a group of friends at the time of the tragedy at 4.10pm on Saturday, who will now be interviewed about what happened.

Just a month before he died, he posted an Instagram video asking fans "Will you be remembered?".

Many people have been expressing disbelief online about Greg's death, describing him as a "fitness legend".

Fitness model Jamie Eason was one of the first to pay tribute, saying: "I am in disbelief and heart broken to hear of Greg Plitt's passing today.

"He was always someone who would go the extra mile for his friends and he loved the fitness industry like no other!

"Greg had so many great things going on in his life right now, so to have his life end so quickly, hit by a train as he was filming a spot for his protein shake, is just gut wrenching!

"We are praying for everyone you have left behind. There will be a void in the fitness industry and the whole world without you."

World Peace in Mind

mind and peace
Peace and Mind

“Inner Peace Time” a.k.a meditation is the core of the Peace Revolution. If you would like to start revolutionizing yourself, we would like to challenge you to practice at least 30 minutes of “Inner Peace Time” per day. Many of you who have never meditated before will wonder what you are doing, why you are doing it, and/or what is the value of meditating. Please be open-minded and trust yourself! There is no right or wrong answer on this scale and meditation is, as they say, a win-win situation.

On the physical level, Inner Peace Time is for all times of the day. When we are talking, eating, writing, driving, showering, shaving, and whatever else, we can also be meditating. It is meant for us to sustain and develop ourselves to reach those true feelings of peace and make them self-sustaining, on-going. When we meditate, we recharge the mind and body so that we have more energy to do good things for ourselves and for others.
Inner Peace Time will increase our physical health by reducing blood pressure, stress, lowering our heart-rate, increasing the brightness of our complexion, and making us a naturally calm and stable person. It opens our mind up to new possibilities, and thus more wisdom. Meditation keeps our mind crystal clear, and allows us to be a leader. We can see the whole picture of everything around us, and thus we can make the best decisions. People will then be inspired by the clarity of our minds. The art and habit of meditation is the only thing that will allow us to do this. That is why it is the basis of all real knowledge.

Meditation
Peace and Happy

You neither need to change your belief nor your lifestyle in order to meditate. Anyone regardless of race, nationality and belief can always enjoy the benefits of meditation because it's so simple even a little kid can do it. At Peace Revolution, we choose "Dhammakaya Meditation", which is the simplest form of meditation. In brief, what we do when we meditate is to comfortably gather our mind inside of our body, at the center, which is in the middle of our abdomen or stomach, and keep it there for longer periods of time. We achieve happiness and inner peace through the birth of inner feelings of goodness, purity, softness, delicateness, refinement, and freshness. This is the result of a mind that has come to a full stop; by bringing everything to a point of stillness inside our body in the middle of our abdomen, the center of the body. We deliberately choose to do just this over everything else and that is how we succeed. This is the great benefit of meditation on the spiritual level.

Meditation produces positive, wholesome, and purifying energy. It makes us want to do good things with body, speech, and mind. That is why we spread loving-kindness at the end of the meditation session; when our minds are still. It produces the highest effect at that point. We start by gathering and recollecting this good energy in our center in the form of a sphere. The sphere is bright and clear like diamond. Start with any size that you feel comfortable with: bubble, basketball, tennis ball, ping pong ball, etc. When the mind is still, then the sphere will be able to enlarge so that we can cover and encompass things with this pure energy and bring them into our center. This way we help to create peace on all levels in our environment and world.

Happyness with peace

Samer Mohamed Alfasees, Palestinian Territory
"I think people are interested in inner peace because when they live with inner peace they live a simple life "
Ilse Vazquez Vidal, Mexico
"Inner peace is about being happy and satisfied with yourself and who you are."
Maryna Yazianok, Belarus
"I was always feeling that there is something that will make my life complete. I think it is this feeling of peacefulness and tranquillity. I am strong and I will have this feeling no matter what. I have the power to overcome them and meditation really helps a lot. "

Juan Antonio Torres Rubio, Colombia
"The best part is when you finally open your eyes, the peaceful feeling you've got is amazing. And you realize about that, after everyone is happy, everyone is smiling. There is no way there is gonna be war or any kind of conflict among this atmosphere. "

The Bachelor 2015

Bachelor 2015

The Bachelor 2015 spoilers announced who won season 19 and is now engaged as Chris Soules’ fiancee but doubts are arising. Season 19 of The Bachelor 2015 kicked off this month, and Andi Dorfman’s ex Chris Soules began his search for love on the ABC reality TV dating show. Of course Reality Steve leaked the 2015 winner’s name months ago. Unlike previous seasons, Chris actually started off with a whopping thirty women, and is now down to 22. Episode 2 spoilers for The Bachelor reveal that on January 12 Chris Soules will send four more women home, although unlike previous seasons we have no idea who those women are – because Reality Steve, the infamous blogger and Bachelor spoiler guru, is seriously slacking this season.

Major Spoilers Alert: Don’t read on if you son’t want to know who won The Bachelor 2015!

Bachelor Nation has grown accustomed to Reality Steve providing in depth spoilers for The Bachelor and The Bachelorette – and breaking down the eliminations episode by episode. However, this season he has created an uproar online and on social media because he hasn’t provided hardly any spoilers. However, he does insist that the 2015 winner is Whitney Bischoff – and she is Chris Soules’ fiancee and they are now happily engaged.

But, Bachelor fans are having a hard time believing Reality Steve this season – for a few reasons. In the Season 19 Bachelor premiere Chris Soules had some serious chemistry with some of the bachelorettes, but not with supposed winner Whitney Bischoff. As a matter of fact, she almost didn’t even receive a rose and was one of the last women called down by Chris Soules. Also, Reality Steve has been wrong in the past (cough, Desiree Hartsock’s season), so it is possible that he is wrong again. Rumors are flying around the internet that ABC has finally paid off enough people to keep the winner a secret this year – and that is why Reality Steve’s spoilers are seriously lacking this season.

The Bachelor 2015

So Bachelor fans, who do you think is the winner of Season 19? Are Whitney Bischoff and Chris Soules really engaged right now, or is Reality Steve wrong about The Bachelor 2015 winner? Let us know what you think in the comments below and don’t forget to check CDL for all of your Bachelor spoilers and recaps this season.

Google's Lego-like Project Ara smartphone to get a hardware store

As Google gets ready to ship the Lego-like Project Ara smartphone later this year, the company wants to ensure relevant hardware is available to coincide with the device’s release.

This week Google shared details about a Project Ara store through which users will be able to buy snap-on hardware blocks for the customizable smartphone. Google is relying on outside hardware developers to make Project Ara parts like antennas, cameras, sensors, screens and batteries, which will be sold through the store.

Google has taken inspiration from Lego, toy bricks known to kids all over the world. Google will sell a basic smartphone frame, and users can then add or remove features by simply snapping on or swapping hardware blocks on the device’s frame.

Google wants the price of the basic smartphone frame to be as low as $50. Snap-on modules would be sold separately.

With Project Ara, users don’t have to settle for features they don’t want. If a wireless antenna or camera stops functioning, users just have to change the relevant module instead of replacing the entire smartphone. Google also wants to make phones easy to upgrade.

Project Ara will start off as a pilot project, during which time Google will study how the device is used, and iron out kinks. Google has made three smartphone prototypes with different screen sizes.

Google is crowdsourcing ideas for Project Ara, and relying heavily on external hardware developers to come up with new concepts for smartphone features. The company’s store will be a one-stop-shop for users to buy Ara modules and for hardware developers to sell their wares. The second version of their Module Developers Kit (MDK 0.2)—released this week—carries further details about the store, module qualifications and payment disbursement.

Google Play, but for hardware modules

Google says its Ara Module Marketplace store is analogous to the Google Play store, through which apps, movies, music and ebooks are sold. Users will be able to review and rate modules, much like they can rate products in the Google Play store.

Developers will have to submit each Ara module to Google, which will verify that it fits within the hardware specifications set in the MDK. Hardware makers will also have to seek regulatory approval from countries in which the modules will be sold. Google hasn’t said whether it would assist in gaining regulatory approval. Many of the module developers are hobbyists, and going through bureaucracy could be a time-consuming and expensive process. That could discourage some hardware developers.

Google also said developers will have modules shipped out through vendors pre-selected by Google. Google hasn’t said whether it would help developers get the parts manufactured, though the company has said it is getting some parts 3D-printed through a deal with 3D Systems.

Revenue based on module sales will be “disbursed periodically at a set interval,” a document in the MDK said. Google will also provide sales projection and planning tools.

Customizable smartphones have been tried before. ZTE in late 2013 announced Eco-Mobius, which has not yet been released. In 2010, Israeli company Modu showed the Brewphone, to which keyboard, speaker and camera modules could be attached.

Partnerships struck

Google has worked closely with hardware developers to conceptualize modules. Google itself has developed modules in which sensors can monitor human biometric signals. “That includes galvanic skin response, sweat levels, your pupil dilation, gaze direction, and a variety of things that we can pick up non-invasively about you as you’re interacting with the e-commerce system,” said Paul Eremenko, director of Project Ara at Google ATAP (Advanced Technology and Projects Group), during an on-stage interview at Purdue University in October. “If you’re stressed or impatient or bored with the experience, we could present a differently curated experience.”

Another idea floated by Eremenko involves a secure module that stores private user information. The module can easily be swapped among Project Ara smartphones, and instantly customizes a phone to a specific user.

There are also many technological innovations in Project Ara. The modules are based on electropermanent magnets, which can turn on and off without any power bing used. The modules eliminate wires and use inductive coupling for data transfers. A host of new data transfer protocols are being used in Project Ara. Google is working with Linaro to develop a custom version of Android that will support the new hardware and drivers.

Wikileaks Denies that Russia Spies Tried to Hire Edward Snowden

The AP reported that a WikiLeaks employee said that Russian intelligence offered NSA whistleblower Snowden a job in 2013, but that he rejected it.

WikiLeaks denied claims that the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) had unsuccessfully attempted to recruit whistleblower and former NSA contractor Edward Snowden after a false newspaper report was published Monday.

The Associated Press published a story reporting that WikiLeaks employee Sarah Harrison had confirmed that the Russian FSB intelligence security approached Snowden with a job offer in 2013 when he was stuck in Moscow's Sheremetyevo airport for six weeks.

However, Wikileaks spokesperson Kristinn Hrafnsson denied the allegations, telling Sputnik News, “I talked to Sarah [Harrison] and she wants to reiterate that she simply said that we confirm that [Snowden] was approached by the Russian Security Service while at the airport. As he actually indeed confirmed himself in his testimony to the EU parliament in January last year."

WikiLeaks has worked closely with Edward Snowden. The FSB refused comment on the reports.

Snowden disclosed millions of classified documents to journalists in 2013, revealing information on the NSA’s and the U.K. intelligence agency’s mass surveillance programs, such as phone tapping and snooping on internet activities of ordinary citizens.

Following the revelations, Snowden fled the United States to avoid espionage charges. Russia granted Snowden temporary asylum in August 2013.

World Peace Seeking

How to seek Peace around the world

The Global Peace Revolution has started a new great activity called “flash mob” group meditations, happening on public places spreading love and awareness. This is a ‘vision’ I had several year ago but was too scared to act upon. Fantastic that this is happening now!

Peace in mind
Peace Sign

Everybody talks about ‘awareness’. Ok, then, what am I supposed to be aware of? Because ‘awareness’ is just an empty word without really knowing what, as I said, to be aware of. Of course, there are endless amounts of things to be aware of in your life. Everything from the smallest to the biggest things. Here, though, I am only thinking about some very few essential things that might contribute to give you a more stress free life and a different experience of life.

Here’s my Top 6 ‘awareness list':
  1. We live for ever and are not our bodies, but rather ‘consciousness’ experiencing life in a body. There’s no ‘death’.
  2. Everything in this world is created by me/us through our thoughts, feelings, words and actions.
  3. God, You and I is One and the Same.
  4. We Don’t Need Money. Experience the liberating feeling of a resource based gift economy.
  5. Happiness is Inside. Never let any outer circumstance (like money) determine your happiness.
  6. Your reality is like a mirror, reflecting your inner state, albeit somewhat delayed.
peace in mind
Peace is Freedom

Of course, every one of these points could have filled several books. And there are written several books about them too, and thousands, if not millions of people have had experiences that confirms them. Keeping these points in mind, at least for me, produces much more good feelings than anything else, and these feelings are reflected in my life as positive experiences. These points might seem scary at first, but when you come to terms with them, think about them, read about them, and maybe experience them, they start to be soothing and liberating.
Living in the conscious awareness makes you think about what you can give, rather than get. It makes you live a life of joy, rather than regret. It brings you happiness at heart, it fulfills your dreams when they are for the common good, and it gives you a lasting kind of happiness, rather than the typical roller coaster feeling you get from being ‘money smart’.
