'Infinity' from One Direction

 'Infinity' from One Direction

One Direction released the second song from their forthcoming fifth album on Tuesday, just after announcing the album’s name and release date. Called “Infinity,” it’s now available as an instant download when pre-ordering the new album, Made In The A.M., out Nov. 13.

Written by John Ryan, Jamie Scott, and Julian Bunetta, the team behind One Direction’s smash hit “Story Of My Life,” the track debuted on streaming services shortly after it was announced, and features lyrics like, “How many nights does it take to count the stars? That’s the time it would take to fix my heart/ Oh baby, I was there for you, all I ever wanted was the truth.”

Bunetta spoke to EW about the new album earlier this year and said that the band was “experimenting a little with different instrumentation.” He added that the album includes more “strings and horns” and said, “We’re stretching out outside of the perimeters of what a traditional pop boy band would do.”

“Infinity” follows “Drag Me Down,” the first single from the collection, which was the band’s first released song without Zayn Malik, who left the band in March. Soon after, he signed a solo contract with RCA Records.

One Direction : 5th Album

One Direction : 5th Album
One Direction :  5th Album

Prepare yourselves, Directioners. The four remaining boys of One Direction will reportedly not be going on tour to support their fifth album and will be taking a break for at least a year to pursue other opportunities. OMG!

In the next year, we might be seeing a lot less of One Direction. Harry Styles, 21, Louis Tomlinson, 23, Liam Payne, 21, and Niall Horan, 21, have agreed to take an “extended hiatus of at least a year” after their next album is released, according to a shocking new report. They will reportedly not be embarking on another world tour. Is this the end of One Direction? Find out now!

“The guys have been together for five years, which is an incredible run for any boyband,” a source told The Sun. “They fully deserve to have at least a year to work on their own projects. There is absolutely no bad blood between them and they are all 100 per cent behind the decision.”

The boys reportedly decided they wouldn’t be launching another tour last weekend in London. They have been performing non-stop since starting their “On The Road Again” world tour and have admitted that they were ready for a break. However, does this extended break mean the band is dismantling for good?

It’s been a pretty hectic year for the boys, who recently released the music video for their new song “Drag Me Down.” Zayn Malik, 22, who used to be one-fifth of the band, left the group in March 2015 to start his solo career. It was tough to lose Zayn, but their impending break had nothing to do with him.

“This was the plan with or without Zayn,” the source said. “In fact, the band have been making amazing music and been incredibly happy without Zayn. Of course they would have preferred that he had stayed in the band, but they would have taken this extended hiatus even if he hadn’t left.”

Harry, Louis, Liam and Niall will come together at the beginning of 2016 to do promotional work for their highly-anticipated fifth album, the report claims. After they have finishing promoting the album, the boys will be “free agents for the first time in five years.”

While we are very sad about this, the boys are only doing what is best for them. They should be able to pursue other endeavors and live their lives how they want to. Louis is expecting his first child in early 2016, so that is definitely something to look forward to. One Direction’s last concert together before their reported break will be in Motorpoint Arena in Sheffield, England on Oct. 31.

HollywoodLifers, are you sad One Direction is taking a break? Do you think they should have gone on tour for their fifth album? Let us know!

Zayn Malik rejoin Stones

Zayn Malik rejoin Stones
Zayn Malik rejoin Stones
Speculation that Zayn Malik could be set to rejoin One Direction is boiling over on the Internet less than three months after he quit the world's most successful boy band.
But the frenzy appears entirely driven by breathless 1D fans and gossip websites on social media after Malik's profile was reportedly reposted to the band's website. Malik's Facebook post announcing his split from the band was also reportedly deleted around the same time.

Social media stirrers are also claiming Malik's new solo producer, Naughty Boy, posted a comment on Twitter lambasting Malik for leaving - then deleted it. Others claimed Zayn's girlfriend Perrie Edwards (of the also highly successful girl-band Little Mix) was hinting at "a major announcement" from the mastermind behind the band, mogul Simon Cowell.

Coincidences? Or fabrications by devoted young minds? Either way it didn't take long before #zayniscomingback was trending on Twitter.

The rumours must be taken with a shaker of salt though. Malik has been apparently on the verge of rejoining the band since he left, although this time the hype is louder - and there has been no official denial. Yet.

Counter rumours have also emerged that Malik is working himself to exhaustion to release his debut solo album to prove his exit was the right decision. HollywoodLife.com's Jon Boon reported the story but quoted an insider saying "His family and friends are a little concerned that he's pushing himself too hard."

Whether the band is four or five members, One Direction will model their careers on the Rolling Stones, according to an American report quoting "a friend".
You read that right. One Direction could be the new Rolling Stones.

"The boys know that by sticking together they can still pursue everything they want to do as a foursome, as well as individually," the friend told People.
"And there's no reason why they can't have lifetime careers both as a group and working on their own solo projects – just like the Stones.

"The Stones are a huge inspiration for the whole group, and they are huge fans."
The friend did not specify whether it was the Stones' extraordinary endurance or their celebrated music that inspired 1D. To date, the Stones' music doesn't seem to have left a mark on the hugely successful boy band's own sound.

There has been speculation aplenty that One Direction's remaining four members, Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan, will follow Malik's example and leave the band.

In January it was reported that uber-producer Harvey Weinstein would offer Styles a movie role without an audition. "There's no question he will enter the movie business ... I think the guy is a movie star," Weinstein told The Sun.

Since then Tomlinson has launched his own record label and sources have suggested Styles and Horan have had offers to work on other music projects.

Taylor Swift Dominates With 'Bad Blood'

The 2015 Billboard Music Awards was a Taylor Swift affair. The ceremony opened with her much-anticipated futuristic revenge fantasy video for “Bad Blood,” and the night continued to work in her favor. Taylor nabbed eight awards – including Top Artist – and even engaged in some congratulatory PDA with her rumored beau, Calvin Harris.
“This is such a good night!” she gushed more than once.
Van Halen delivered the first performance of the night, a rocking rendition of “Panama.” Frontman David Lee Roth gave a bizarre flirtatious call-out to Nicki Minaj during the song. “I’m gonna reach down between my legs and I’m gonna get Nicki Minaj to help me ease my seat back," he sang. Nicki performed two songs later in the show, but didn't acknowledge the mention.
One Direction took home the first televised award of the night, for Top Duo/Group, and they acknowledged departed member Zayn Malik in their acceptance speech. “We share this with our brother Zayn,” Liam Payne said.

Fall Out Boy was joined on stage by rapper Wiz Khalifa to perform their hit “Uma Thurman” in a Pulp Fiction-themed performance complete with Uma lookalike dancers. Wiz later returned to the stage with Charlie Puth to perform their hit from the Furious 7 soundtrack, “See You Again,” with Lindsey Stirling on the violin. The crowd cheered loudly when an image of the late Paul Walker appeared on the screen behind them.

Mariah Carey took the Billboard stage for the first time in 17 years. Mariah, who recently battled bronchitis and had to cancel a Wednesday performance of her Las Vegas residency show, sang a portion of her first No. 1 hit, “Vision of Love” – which celebrated its 25th anniversary on Friday – before breaking into her latest single, “Infinity.”

Vegas staple Celine Dion presented the Top Male Artist award to Sam Smith, who accepted the prize from New York, where he is recovering from vocal cord surgery. He can’t speak, so instead he held up handwritten cue cards that expressed his gratitude and gave shout-outs to famous pals Swift and Ed Sheeran. Smith won three awards total, including Top Radio Songs Artist and Top New Artist.

Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea performed their new song “Pretty Girls” for the first time live. Their performance took place at the AXIS Theater at Planet Hollywood, where Britney has her residency show. In keeping with their space-themed video, they opened with a hologram effect that made it appear as if they were teleported onto the stage.

Spears – clad in a sexy black cutout bodysuit – showed she’s fully recovered from her ankle injury by giving an energetic dance performance. Azalea, who took home three awards including Top Rap Artist, debuted a shorter haircut with pink-colored ends.

The night also paid tribute to two major losses in the music world: blues legend B.B. King, who passed away on Thursday, and soul singer Ben E. King, who died late last month. Imagine Dragons performed a stripped-down version of Ben E. King’s classic, “Stand By Me.”

One Direction's Zayn Malik 'signed off' ?

One Direction's Zayn Malik 'signed off' world tour to recover from stress

Harry, Louis, Liam and Niall will perform as a quartet at the forthcoming performances in Manila and Jakarta this week

The pressures of boyband notoriety and endless media hounding appear to have conquered One Direction’s Zayn Malik, who has been signed off the band’s current world tour with stress.

According to One Direction’s publicist, the singer is returning home despite having three dates in Asia scheduled for this week. “Zayn has signed off with stress and is flying back to the UK to recuperate,” says the group’s spokesperson. “The band wish him well and will continue with their performances in Manila and Jakarta.”

Aside from the obvious pressures of being part of the biggest boyband in the world, Malik was the subject of two news stories which surfaced this week. The first concerned matters regarding his relationship with Little Mix’s Perrie Edwards, after he was pictured holding hands with another woman while in Thailand. On 18 March, Malik publicly apologised to his fiancée:

Today it was also discovered that he and bandmate Louis Tomlinson were required to post bonds worth roughly $5,000 (£3,300) each ahead of their forthcoming shows in the Philippines. The country’s immigration bureau said they would forfeit the bond if they were caught using or promoting the use of illegal drugs during their visit – an action no doubt prompted by the past leak of a video made while on tour in Peru in 2014 which featured the One Direction members joking about a “joint” as they smoke what looks like a rolled-up cigarette.

One Direction found fame after finishing third in the UK’s 2010 series of The X Factor, behind runner-up Rebecca Ferguson and winner Matt Cardle. A cultural phenomenon, they became the first band in the US Billboard 200 history to have their first four albums debut at No 1, and their third album, Midnight Memories, was the biggest-selling album worldwide of 2013 .
