 'Infinity' from One Direction

One Direction released the second song from their forthcoming fifth album on Tuesday, just after announcing the album’s name and release date. Called “Infinity,” it’s now available as an instant download when pre-ordering the new album, Made In The A.M., out Nov. 13.

Written by John Ryan, Jamie Scott, and Julian Bunetta, the team behind One Direction’s smash hit “Story Of My Life,” the track debuted on streaming services shortly after it was announced, and features lyrics like, “How many nights does it take to count the stars? That’s the time it would take to fix my heart/ Oh baby, I was there for you, all I ever wanted was the truth.”

Bunetta spoke to EW about the new album earlier this year and said that the band was “experimenting a little with different instrumentation.” He added that the album includes more “strings and horns” and said, “We’re stretching out outside of the perimeters of what a traditional pop boy band would do.”

“Infinity” follows “Drag Me Down,” the first single from the collection, which was the band’s first released song without Zayn Malik, who left the band in March. Soon after, he signed a solo contract with RCA Records.

It's the first taste of the singer's upcoming album

At the start of this year Lana Del Rey warned that her new album, Honeymoon, would be a return to form after exploring her bluesier side on last year’s Ultraviolence (which TIME named as one of the best albums of 2014).

Perhaps her soundtrack contributions to last year’s Big Eyes put her in a cinematic mood, because the just-released title track leans closer to the sounds of her breakthrough LP Born to Die than the material she cooked up with the Black Keys’ Dan Auderbach.

The characteristically broody “Honeymoon” even appears to reference her earlier work in its lyrics, with Del Rey calling the lover she’s singing about “Mr. Born to Lose.”

Then again, she also alludes to his “history of violence” and the “guns that blaze around him”—clearly, you can take Lana out of the Ultraviolence, but you can’t take the Ultraviolence out of Lana.

2015's song of the summer is officially here! Demi Lovato is prepping her fifth studio album for release later this year, and teased fans with its first single, "Cool for the Summer," on Wednesday, July 1. The lead track off of Lovato's debut effort from Safehouse Records, her label with Nick Jonas, is an edgy and fun pop track with infectious lyrics that are some of Lovato's most suggestive yet.

Lovato croons about keeping her sexy summer fling under wraps in the upbeat track. “Got my mind on your body / And your body on my mind / Got a taste for the cherry / I just need to take a bite / Don't tell your mother," Lovato sings.

"This song is so bad a--," Safehouse Records cofounder Jonas tweeted Wednesday.
